About CACMonitor

The purpose of this site is to provide independent oversight of Central Arizona College, a public institution funded primarily through your property tax. To date the emphasis has been on financial information to tell us how the money is spent. This year’s operating budget was $84 million, and capital expenditure should push this to over $100 million.  If anyone from the district claims any of my statements are not true, please let me know and ask for documentation. The contacts are here: https://centralaz.edu/about-cac/governance/board-of-governors/

The site can be contacted at cacmonitor@proton.ne

I don’t have interactivity on this site yet but will try to do so through this Facebook link

Information about CAC came from either public documents from their website or public records that had to be requested. I have an e-mail thread of the discussions and questions, and with few exceptions, the Board members were copied in so have been well aware of the questions and responses. The background of the stonewalling that took place can be found here. Background and History. and here CAC Tells Me to Pound Sand

If an administrator or Board members claim there are factual errors, ask them why they didn’t bring it to my attention in e-mail or sit down to have a discussion with me.

The ultimate goal is to see how the $100 million dollars is spent. From here we will try to determine how those costs are spread among various campuses, programs and various classes.

             Vision, Mission and Goals

The districts Vision and Goals can be found here:

These statements were made 13 years and should probably by revisited by the Board, especially the part about accountability to external stakeholders, which include the taxpayers who are the main source of resources.
